Designed for all models of the Exige S for road, track or motorsport use where lower inlet temperatures are required, giving more power for longer running peroids and greatly reducing thermal load on the cylinder head. This chargecooler is now used in all our in-house developed supercharger upgrades and kits for the 2ZZ-GE engine.
Aimed at the fast-road, track day and motorsport community, our racing chargecooler system is designed for maximum possible cooling from a pre-cooler radiator mounted in the front grille of the car to an engine-mounted heat-exchanger that can be fitted in place of the original Exige S intercooler. The kit is also suitable for those adding a supercharger to a normally aspirated car.
Standard kit has plain alloy finish to the chargecooler (as show in main images). Kit images show black satin paint finish which is available at extra cost. See product options.
Installation does not require removal of the vehicles coolant radiator, air conditioning or oil coolers, however the front clamshell must be removed to install the pre-cooler.
The Racing chargecooler system includes the following components:
- Front-mounted pre-cooler (plain alloy finish)
- Rear mounted chargecooler (plain alloy finish)*
- Bosch high-flow water pump and wiring harness
- All required hoses, clamps and fittings
*Original intercooler is required in exchange.
We recommend a coolant to the same mixture and specification as that used in the engine – see our Cooling and Lubricants section or related items for details.
A lower cover with revised mounting brackets is available and is suitable for all intercooled and chargecooled Exiges to refine the engine bay. Please see related items for details.
