There has long been a need for a rear towing eye that meets all the criteria required to be suitable for the track and race community. The criteria were simple. Our towing eye must be:
- Compliant to meet MSA regulations
- Strong and durable
- Located to prevent damage to chassis when vehicle is towed from gravel
- Securely mounted to the chassis or subframe without risk of breaking away
- Fastened in multiple positions
- Fitted and removed quickly and easy
In short - this is the only rear towing assembly you will ever need!
Kit comes complete with:
- Red rear towing eye plate in 6mm stainless steel (MSA Compliant)
- Weld-on steel box section with Integral high-strength threaded inserts (weld-on)
- 3 x M8 Bolts with locking washers
The steel box section must be welded to the front-side of the rear subframe cross-member, just behind the undertray fastener positions (see images). Three holes will need to be drilled through the undertray to accomodate the new bolts. Once welded in postion, the area must be treated with a suitable corrosion resistant coating.
